The downsides to the Internet

11.26.07 | Comment?

You’d be hard pushed to find someone who will say a bad thing about the internet as a general phenomena. Be it grannies who love getting their knitting needles on eBay; middle-aged swingers looking for good dogging spots or young kids who wile away their lives playing online games (because frankly it’s more exciting than what the “careers officer” has to say), everyone thinks that the internet is the best thing since sliced bread (for anyone too young to remember this saying, sliced bread didn‘t come into existence until 1928, how rubbish is that!?).

But before you go back to poke some people on Facebook that you’ve been trying (and failing) to sleep with since school, bear a thought for those things that the internet casually pisses on until their bonfire of existence peters out in to a charred memory.

Over the next couple of days/weeks/lifetimes we will be posting a series of people, places and things that generally fail it (where it is being down with the internet).
