Time offline & lessons learnt

04.09.08 | Comment?

You may have noticed that, despite the odd anti-tory rant, we’ve been rather quiet city mice this last couple of weeks. The nice guy upstairs who we used to share the internet with (we got Myspace, he took facebook) has left us for distinctly nastier pastures (West.) and we had been bereft.

So I took to some black hat hacking, proceeded to tell everyone I knew I was going to work out the password. Completely failed. And then asked the receptionist next door nicely if we could use theirs. Which was fine. FTW. So first lesson.

1. Social engineering is much, much easier than computer engineering.

Second lesson was learnt a little harder, to be honest, and it is only due to my sheer balls out pluckiness that carnage was averted. I may have caused some cars to crash, women to swoon and men to curse, however. Though it seems unlikely.

2. When you skate half way across the City from your house, bring spare shortys in case you rip the whole ass out of the pair you are wearing.

Other than that, we’ve been snowed under with work. There are some other tales to recant, but we’ll be using them as post fodder for a little while.
