This time it’s for pointing us in the direction of this; Pac-manhattan. The premise is a real-life version of Pac-man…people running the streets of NYC trying to avoid ghosts and collect those tasty dots… all tracked via the internet and broadcast…win. This dates all the way back to 2004, surely time for Pac-man: London to be rolled out..who’s interested?!

The Hackney Post was set up recently by some post-grad Journalism students from City University and I quite like it. It has a slick design and ultimately bringing Hackney news and issues into the internet age.

I am currently in self-enforced exile from East London, as a consequence, I am going through a new wave of appreciation of all things East.

So congrats to all involved, we’ve hooked up a permanent link if you should ever feel inclined to get the latest in Hackney goings on.

So we all have less money now than ever before, we’re all about to lose our incomes and homes – but with new hope comes new motivation, vigour and passion. Yeh this drivel sounds like an outdated 80’s Reagan campaign, but indie floor-filling music from the USA has been desperately thin on the ground and needs a rallying call. Forget MGMT. Hail a new beginning, change is here, embrace it.

Already coming up strong, Passion Pit are creating big waves and will be hitting our shores very soon. In store gig at Pure Groove is slated for February 19th and once you get infected with the beats and arrangements of “Sleepyhead” you’re sure to be hooked.

Giantess offer 80s electro synth perfection. “Tuff’n'Stuff” makes me want to break out the Reebok Pumps and Nike Air Force oversized hoodie, for the second time this week. It’s just the ticket for uplifting post recession 1992 Hooks aplenty in “You Were Young”.

A word about rap. Theophilus London is the future. Bitches don’t know what this guy is gonna do to the scene, Kanye best be watching his back – this guy has legend flowing through his lyrical DNA. Sandcastles is a taster, with Machinedrum of Normrex lending the production skills to this tweaked mix. Simply blowing me away right now.

A final word. Everyone get amongst Neon Gold. The guys that put together the legendary Good Weather For Airstrikes set up their own label in Autumnal 2008 and it looks like it’s going from strength to strength. Much inspiration was garnered from their blog for this post. Here’s hoping it strengthens the so called “special relationship”.

Secondly, we have visitors from pretty much all over the World, so props (or the indigenous equivalent of props) to you guys! Within this World population, we seem to be exponentially more popular in one country outside of the UK than all the others. Yes, you guessed it, Mexico.

Mexico hit the news (as reported by the Irregulars!) recently due to the anti-emo riots that were going down over there. Apparently certain facets of non-emo Mexicans think Emos are gay (interestingly a theory held across most of teh internets) and as a consequence of their limited tolerance to said accused bum-foolery, have been bringing the rage to the Mexican Emo population.

We here at the Irregulars don’t condone such emo-flogging, especially considering most of our Mexican readers seem to like the Horrors posts, ergo with a 99% confidence level are emo (as I don’t think scene delineation is as advanced in Mexico).

So our Mexican readership, we salute you. Vive le revolution in skinny jeans, eye-liner and gravity defying hair! The remaining population, what with their occasional wrestling expertise and dalliances with religious fanaticism, will surely submit to your downbeat ways.
